Monday morning gives not only the promise of a new week but also a fresh start for everyone in Bandigan Bay associated with the Denathynol plant project and, hopefully, the world as a whole. Doug’s greatest hope is that this project will provide the template for an eventual global expansion of his effective and environmentally responsible alternative energy source. He wakes feeling optimistic. He decides to begin his week on the right foot by calling Camille at home to wish her well with her classes.

During the subsequent father/daughter conversation, Camille can still hear Doug’s apprehension regarding recent objections that he has sensed within the community.
