The bloody thing just suddenly lost power. It is another one of those mysterious mechanical malfunctions. Don’t worry, no one was hurt but they could have been. I need to speak to you privately.”

Doug motions for Allcoth to join him inside. “What can I do for you?” he asks.

“Didn’t you hear me? This is dangerous. We have had one problem after another. Maybe folks are right to be skeptical about what we are trying to accomplish. Maybe the universe is causing these malfunctions to send us a message,” says Allcoth.
