Life had been calm for Lexi and Cooper for almost ten years. Lucas was sixteen years old. He considered Cooper his father and wanted to be just like him. He helped out on the farm and at the store.

Tessa had grown into a beautiful young lady. She was fifteen. Cooper admitted he would have his hands full very soon, fighting off her admirers.

Connor recently turned nine. He was given a few chores to do around the house and the farm to teach him some responsibility. With his pleasant personality, Lexi found him a joy to be around.

She was content with her husband and the children. As each year passed by and nothing traumatic happened, she loosened up a little more. The past that used to torment her faded further into the distance.
