The Nautshval, which translates as cow-whale, is one of the Illhveli that once filled the heart of every Icelandic fisherman with fear. This particular one, the second biggest of them all, had a supernatural sense and would show up on the surface if its name was said out loud.
Nautshval were toothed whales. They had a large muzzle with two big rounded nostrils that work as a battle horn. Male nautshval had larger heads with a protuberance that resembled a long bull's horn.
