There’s no fury in heaven or hell like that of a vengeful spirit.

There’s no wickedness in land or the seas like that of an angry ghost.

If you think death is the end, you better do good.

Be good I tell you, or soon you will learn, death is but the beginning.

Onryō,

Vengeful spirits, Onryō is sometimes also translated as wrathful ghosts, who are extremely malevolent and bloodthirsty spirits. 

However, they have a set goal and –usually— will only harm those who have wronged them. Nonetheless, some  powerful and angry Onryōs linger and continue hurting people even after they have achieved their revenge.
