CHAPTER 2: THAT DARNED OL’ HAPPY MAN AND HIS SAMUNCRIUM

Dad was always carrying on some kind of samuncrium. There is so much behind that statement that is difficult to describe, but I’ll do my best. Sometimes, there are words that do not translate into English. My friend Dusty, a lifelong missionary, will sometimes insert a Spanish or Portuguese word into an otherwise English sentence because that word more fully expresses what he intends to convey.
