CHAPTER 1: MEET THE FAMILY

With all the various tales to be told in this book, this chapter was the most difficult to write. Oh, it’s not that my family is so large that I have forgotten their names or that I have been distant from them. No, the problematic issue is all the nicknames. You can’t even begin to know my family without a list of at least some of the nicknames. My dad gave every member of our family multiple monikers and has done the same for the in-laws and the grandkids. The lone exception is my wife, Loretta. With almost 25 years of opportunity now, Dad has yet to find a nickname that would stick to her.
