It was Mabel, of course, so Rory pulled the earbuds out. She knew what was coming and took a deep breath.

“What the hell happened Rory? Did you push your brother? Because that’s what it looked like to me.”

“Yes, I did. Alright? Mom I just can’t take it anymore. He comes in here, screaming at me, making me feel like a piece of shit for no reason. Saying we were talking trash about him and something about me talking trash to Jaymi even though I have no idea what he’s talking about. I mean, I’ve told Jaymi some stuff. She’s the only friend I have. I needed to. But I have no idea how or when Seth even talked to Curtis or Jaymi. He’s just so mean, Mama. So friggin’ mean.”
