Dear Lily,

I hate living here with all these people and it makes me miss my home. The one E.J., Everett’s son, convinced me to sell. He was right of course, who the heck was going to live there after I died? I did you a favor by selling that place and leaving you and Michael the money. I will leave you some more money and these letters. All I ask is that you give me a proper Catholic funeral.

That, and pray for me Lily. Please. I’m going to need it. I’m frightened. I didn’t think I was afraid to die, but now I am. What if I haven’t been forgiven? What if Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, shuns me?

Well, there’s nothing else I can do now, can I?
