Dear Lily,

I know I left off with the story of how we learned your mother was pregnant with you. One of the happiest nights of my life.

Rose and I relented after your mother told us to go away at least ten times and we went back downstairs.  

I decided not to speak to Rose. I went to my room and pretended to read a book. Truth is, I don’t even like to read and Rose knew it.
