As Jason dressed for a meeting with a client, he felt the hands of Beth tightening his tie and straightening his jacket. He felt the weight of her hands rest against his chest after she had finished. Even though the house no longer seemed to be breathing like it had shortly after her death, she was still a part of it when he was there. It was the place people now referred to as his home, but his home had been with Beth. They'd shared a house together and he often felt like she was still at his side in that house, but home had always been wherever Beth happened to be.

 

Jason searched his sock drawer for something that might go with his dark green suit. But he really didn't see much of anything except lonely singles hastily dumped inside. He had been the more organized partner bef...
