The woman returned home, disoriented, but the report is unclear about what happened, and I can't find any follow up stories. Interestingly, however, the official quoted is the same coroner that was at Baker Beach, a woman named Jones. I also make note of the reporter's name, Max Devlin.
I do a quick search and find Coroner's Jones's office number, and immediately call her. This story is astounding. Who knew things like this happened in San Francisco?
"Coroner Jones," she answers.
"Hi, I'm calling from the Mechanics' Library here in SF. I saw you mentioned in an article in the Chronicle, and I'm hoping you can comment."
