The ride out to Baker on my baby is cool as hello. The sky is clear and the sun strong. I take California Street the entire way, up and over the hills of Pacific Heights out through the Richmond into the Presidio. As I turn onto El Camino Drive, there are already cars parked on the side of the street, way out here, blocks from the beach.
The lower lot is packed, but I breeze on by on my baby and park legally in between the rows of cars. After I lock the scooter, I text Emma and walk towards the area where she said they would be camped out for the day.
