“Ya’ll be gettin there,” Justalynn reassured Isaac, touching his arm.  “Ya’ll be gettin there.”

     “We sure do miss our Cecily.  Some days sure be harder than others to be gettin through, realizin she’s not here anymore,” Ida said quietly.

     “I know.  I’m missin her, too.  Grief be knowin no time limit,” Justalynn comforted.

     “The other kids be so lovin, so helpful, and they be missin her, too,” Ida said.

     “I’ll just never understand why she be doin what she did.  Why?”

     “None of us will ever really know, Isaac, except that she be wantin to save ya,” Justalynn said...
