Without warning, Justalynn kissed Bear’s hand, softly, gently, lovingly, then rushed out of the room, ran down the hall to the door that led to the stairs, and hurried down two flights of stairs, tears half blinding her eyes.  Outside, she made a beeline for her buggy.  When she got there, she grabbed her horse’s mane and buried her face in it, screaming into it until she was almost beyond raspy, cracked, and silent.
