Iñigo didn’t get the chance. The beast managed to reach back and knocked him away. As it tried to pry the sword from its shoulder, Vega and the other officers led the sailors to lasso it with thick ropes.

The beast roared in anger as more and more ropes wrapped around its massive frame. It stumbled, and Drake smiled, knowing in a moment the fight would be over. They would take better precautions in the future, make sure it was impossible blood found its way to the beast again. They would be able to keep him subdued, and Iñigo would be able to test his skills as an inquisitor.
