            Finally, the last had been brought back nearly whole. Kusunoki left his interrogation to others. Killing a man in battle, or on the orders of his daimyo, was not a problem for Kusunoki. He did not revel in others’ pain though. Luckily there were more than enough men in his employ who did. Bandits were hardly known for their loyalty, and he had talked before the hour of the goat (while Kusunoki was having his evening meal) had even ended. The men worked on the bandit well through the night though, just in case he was leaving out any information.
