Chapter 2

            The ride back to the Inn was quiet. Each person in their own world. Liz stepped out of the van and stopped. “Anna, I need to talk to you. Do you think your father would mind if you were gone a bit longer?”

            “Why, what is wrong?” Anna didn’t like the look on her friends face. Javier came to help them in with their packages, and she waved him away. “I will take them. Tell my father I will be just a bit longer.” The two women walked arm in arm to the rear of the property. They sat down in the garden next to the statue of Llesenia. “What is it, Liz? Did something happen?”
