Tim thanked Daphne for helping him with his journey and left without uttering a word to Marcus. He knew that he had to process everything that he had seen and felt an intense urge to return home; he did just that, flagging a cab and heading up to his apartment lost in anxious thought.

He flipped on the television as soon as he walked in the door, thinking repeatedly of the image of Jack waving the flag. He knew that his mentor was the key to everything, but it was already far too late to call him; it would have to wait until morning.
