It had happened instantaneously: one moment he was looking down at his sandwich about to take a bite, and the very next he looked up. From halfway across the field, he made eye contact with a stunning woman holding her own lunch plate; the attraction was magnetic—the effect electrifying. He felt his mouth go cotton-dry as his heart began racing. He had never believed in love at first sight, but, in that moment, he was sure that he would marry this woman whose name he didn’t even know.
