After thanking Nana until his tongue turned blue, Kodi stepped out of the house. He held up the wad of money with a shameful look. “How in the world am I going to pay Nana back?”
    “She said you don’t need to worry, don’t.” Jonathan walked out after, Esmeralda jumping out behind him. He closed the door. 
    Kodi scoffed. “Yeah, you’re the spokesperson for not worrying.” He lifted his shoulders in a small shrug. 
    Jonathan bashfully looked away. 
    “Doesn’t matter, Kodi! We’re going on a field trip, you can worry about how poor you are another time.” Esmeralda dismissively waved a hand.
