The verbal exchange with Alivia didn’t go well at all.  Hank informed her that he had no plans whatsoever to marry Hailey in the near future.  She hated the idea of her father being alone and reverted back to her stance of her mother and father reconciling.

Her stubborn will was an inherited trait from both parents.  She insisted that she should be the one to marry Jarrod.  Their young child even demanded the ring that her mother was wearing around her neck. 

Genny shut the door to her oldest child’s room and leaned back against it.  “That went horribly wrong.”

He tried to lighten the mood.  “My daughter is now engaged to a man who’s older than me.”

“When did she learn to throw a tantrum to get her way?”
