Jarrod placed a call to Genny and asked her politely to come back down to the police station without uttering one inappropriate remark.  She had a foreboding feeling of impending doom.  As he imparted the news that Malcolm had been murdered, she was numb.  She had taken their findings directly to him a little over an hour before.  The call he received when he had to cut their meeting short had to have been about her former lover.  She was saddened to lose a man who had become such a dear friend.
