Genny spent a little more than an entire month in peace.  Hank didn’t try to contact her until her birthday.  She ignored his repeated calls, so he showed up on her doorstep.

She yelled through the door.  “Go away!”

“Geeg, please open the door.  The neighbors are staring at me.”

She quickly jerked his arm to propel him inside, but noticed no one milling around outside. 

“Of course, you lied again.  Why am I not surprised?”

“You keep avoiding me.  We can’t work on our marriage if you won’t even talk to me.”

“We don’t have a marriage anymore, thanks to you.”
