On Monday, the couple headed back to school with the pretense of their lives being perfectly normal. All the girls managed to talk about for the past few weeks was their prom. Genny had bought a dress for the dance months ago. Emma insisted she go along with her and their other lassie friends. They tried on dresses all day, but the experienced ended up as a fun occasion for her.

Genny chose a blue formal gown, only a little darker than the sky. The bodice and straps were covered with a silver beaded floral pattern. The sheer fabric of the chiffon skirt had several layers of material that became fuller as it descended to her feet. She thought the dress revealed too much cleavage.
