The big announcement to Genny’s father had gone far better than expected. At no point did her new fiancé’s life seem to be in any danger. She was thankful he offered to let her continue living in her room.

The next stop was Hank’s mother’s house. Lindsey broke down and cried when her son revealed he was going to be a father. The expression on her face reflected all the dreams she ever had for her son suddenly shatter as she sank to the sofa in disbelief. Genny stood protectively behind Hank with tears threatening to spill from her own eyes.
