Based on the map, the warehouse that Ashley had invited Kensei to was about a half mile from where Sabrina dropped her off. The surrounding area was industrial, with loading docks for boats sailing out to the Atlantic and factories positioned to dump their effluent out into the Puckwudgie. Spirits watched from the shadows: downtrodden, oppressed. The wind off the river was stronger here, carrying with it the chemical stench of pollution. Even with the smell, the dubiously fresh air made Jamie's head feet better.

Clutching her sword, Kensei focused on the spirit of the wind. Serpentine shapes flowed through the air around her, merging in and out of one another and eddying into tight coils as they spun.
