Jamie spent the car ride with her head against the cold glass of the passenger side window. Her head ached from pushing her power. Nausea lingered at the edge of her awareness as she watched the neighborhood turn from houses to warehouses and factories. Sabrina didn't talk, which didn't bother Jamie too much. She was too busy trying to get rid of her headache before she pushed her power again.

Still, Jamie couldn't believe how upside down everything had become. Ashley was a villain, Sabrina was a friend. Combined with her headache and the cold darkness outside of the car, it made her feel like she had entered some new bizarre world where nothing made sense.
