The ride out to Ashley's neighborhood was awkward. Sabrina focused on the road and ignored Jamie. The spirit of Sabrina's car, a guy named Cristobal who held a staff and carried a child on his shoulder, insisted the whole time that Jamie get her heathen beliefs away from Sabrina before she spread them. Since the spirit was shaped by his driver, she wondered what this said about Sabrina.

Once over at Ashley's neighborhood, Jamie had Sabrina park her car a block away. Slipping her mask back on, Kensei skulked through backyards, staying at the edges to avoid motion sensor lights as she headed towards the Jones residence. She tried to keep track of any police calls on her scanner that would indicate that she'd been spotted.

The backyard to Ashley's house lacked the polish of the front...
