Kensei stood on the roof of Lincoln High, looking at the shrine she had built for Abe. She needed to get some answers and had a way to get them. Cole had said that having a focus helped. With her costume on and her sword at her side, she couldn't get more in character if she tried.

She gripped the hilt of her katana, focused on bringing the spirit to her, and called out, "Abe, koko ni kinasai."

Abe looked surprised as he jolted into view in front of her. He looked even more surprised when she grabbed him by the front of his flannel shirt and dragged him closer. His clothing felt ephemeral, and she felt like someone was trying to slowly push a broom handle through her forehead, but Abe didn't have to know that.

"You backed the wrong horse, Abe. And now you have...
