Once over the bridge, they entered the winding streets of Karlsburg. She had to go slower here, but still pushed it as hard as she thought she could. She cut across lawns, outdoor café seating, and clipped a few building corners as she raced through the neighborhood. Soon she saw the roof of the church, its wisteria logo visible from the street lights. She didn't bother to look for parking, but drove onto the sidewalk and slammed on the brakes in front of the steps.
Agyo stood in front of the door, his vajra club in one hand as he looked at the owls raining down on the church. "Jamie? You are totally my best friend forever. Ungyo is out of luck."
