Jamie stumbled in the door and waved to her dad, who opened his mouth to speak but froze when he saw the thick coating of mud. She held up a finger to indicate she'd have the conversation with him later. Her phone rang as she put her foot on the first step to the stairs. She needed out of the clothes she was wearing and to use all the hot water in her shower, so she ignored it.

But instead of going to voicemail, it just continued ringing. At the top of the stairs, she pulled the phone out and looked at the caller ID. It said: "This is Jaccob Stevens. Answer your phone."

She answered. "How did you get my number?"

"I own the largest telecommunications company in the world. How do you think I got your number?"

"Good point. What's up?"
