She feinted in with a chop, intending to get him to raise his arm in defense and give her an opening to throw him. He did raise his arm, but when she shifted to grip his forearm, he swung back and sent her flying. She rolled through the mud but came back up on her feet.

Cole just shook his head and smiled. Jamie clenched her fists and came in with a different style. She swung her fists but he mostly just blocked and dodged to the inside of her punches. She tried for a kick but pulling her foot from the mud weakened the force. Cole shifted his weight and then lurched down awkwardly and clutched at his thigh.

Jamie stopped and leaned forward. "Are you alr—"

Cole used that moment to deliver an uppercut that caught Jamie square on the jaw. Jamie felt her feet leave...
