Jamie hurried after the spirit, who walked at a brisk pace back out to the lobby, across it to another set of back passages, and then to a nondescript elevator with a keypad next to it. Following his instructions, she entered a twenty-digit security code into the pad. After a moment, the elevator opened and she stepped inside to enter another twenty-digit code.

"This will take you straight up to Mr. Stevens' private office," the spirit said as it disappeared. "Good luck."

The doors opened and she faced an armored Stardust, with his gauntlets aimed at her. Their golden halo suggested that they were charged and ready to fire. "I suggest you talk really fast, Jamie Hattori."

Jamie dodged to the side of the elevator, out of sight from the outside. "I came looking for help...
