The next day, Jamie saw little of her friends throughout the morning. She wondered if people had begun avoiding her, and how much of that was because of Sabrina. At lunch, while Jamie tried to figure out what the breaded meat item was beneath the gravy, Ashley set her tray down next to Jamie and said, "May I sit here?"

"No one else has claimed it so far."

"You doing okay?" Ashley asked. "I saw the photo of you and Parker."

"It is what it is." Jamie didn't mention how much she'd been mentally chanting the nembutsu to try and stay calm.

"I have another lead for the blog," Ashley said.

Jamie knew she should be excited, but after the previous day she just couldn't find the energy. Especially after Sabrina's random...
