Parker smiled. "I chose it. I wanted something sort of glam and spacy. Like Ziggy Stardust-ish. ‘Jammer from Mars' seemed kinda clunky. There was already a ref named Major Tom, so I figured this would be a good alternative. Though my number is technically from Peter Schilling's song. I figure using ‘tomboy' emphasizes my butch side."

"Butch, huh?"

"Yup." She turned and bared her teeth at Jamie. "Grrr!"

"Do you have to wear your jersey to every derby thing? Is this part of the cult?"
