Mike O'Reilly left the apartment building, still shouting curses at his wife three stories up. Kensei didn't know if Mike's wife, Stephanie, could actually hear her husband, but the vigilante could hear the muffled voice of Mrs. O'Reilly shouting her own stream of insults back. When he was on the sidewalk, he finally stopped yelling and just muttered to himself. The spirit of the apartment building lingered on the front stoop, arms wrapped protectively about itself as it glared at Mike accusingly.

Up on the rooftop, Kensei kept pace with Mike, watching for an opportunity. He made a beeline for the nearest liquor store, went inside and eventually came back out with a large paper bag. Assuming he'd take the same route back, she ran ahead and waited for him in the darkness of an alley.
