She opened her eyes to see a strange old man in front of her. He had skin mottled with liver spots, bushy eyebrows that seemed to point off in all directions at once, and hair growing out of his ears. He smelled like cabbage and something sour. She vaguely remembered seeing him in a police car when she was dealing with Eris the month before. But she had not been dressed as Kensei at the time.

"Yes?" she asked.

He extended his hand. "Manny Spiros. I'm a consultant with the C.C.P.D. I've been helping them with the Dynamo case."

She accepted his hand with trepidation and shook it. "Is there something I can do for you?"

"Just wanted to introduce myself, give you my card."

"I can't afford a consultant."
