Shamballah Coffee House looked relatively empty. Not many people were interested in braving the rain to study there. Jamie shook her rain coat and watched the ephemeral spirit cats scatter from the rain drops, which bothered her. The rain couldn't touch the cats, yet they still ran.
The world was filled with things that didn't make sense.
Scanning the coffee shop, she saw the two people she had invited sitting at radically different places. Ashley sat at a small table at the very back of the coffee shop, trying to look small. Meanwhile, Sabrina sat in the middle of the coffee shop, her whole body tense. She looked like she would stab someone if they got close to her.
