Sabrina shrugged. "It gets in the way of other stuff. There's no real value to it."

"No value to helping people?" Jamie asked.

"If you're good at something, don't do it for free. Seriously. You could help people and take home a paycheck. Be a cop. A fire fighter. An EMT. Hell, even a social worker would be better."

"But what about people like Stardust?"

"Stardust has money to burn, so it's no big deal for him to fly around in his midlife crisis and beat up monsters. The rest of us have bills to pay. I want to go to college, get a good job, and help my family live better. Every minute of my day is dedicated to either working so I can afford the tools needed for escaping this place or doing the things needed to do the same thing...
