As Jamie approached her usual table, she saw Parker had already started to hold court. Not only were Justin and Ashley paying attention to her story, but she had attracted a crowd as well. This was not how Jamie wanted to lunch to go.

"And then I find out we aren't driving, but he's taking me to the freakin' airport where he's chartered a private jet. Private jet, people! Stocked with Mountain Dew! And Skittles! It's like he knows me. Or, at least, it's like I told him what my favoritest things were a few dozen times."

Jamie set her tray down quietly on the table and sat, hoping that the mob didn't notice her there. She didn't want an audience while she ate.

"All this just for some roller derby thing?" asked a boy Jamie didn't recognize.
