Amaziel and I continued walking through the forest. The farther in we went, the fewer trees and the more rocks we saw. Small cliffs jutted up through the leaves. The sound of water was more like the pouring rain in the Jungle than the gentle rushing of the river and stream.
Another clearing opened in the trees with a cluster of rocks and cliffs at its center. Beyond the clearing, more rocks became a mountain that loomed over the trees. From the heights of the mountain came a stream that fell over the lower cliffs into a pool of dark water. A rough archway behind the falls was dark with an opening into a cavern. The clearing allowed the sunlight to fall onto the water in the pool. The light shimmered on the surface with all the colors of the rainbow. Mist from the falling water hung in the air.
