Nev and I moved into our new life together as husband and wife as we moved into our new apartment. It was a smallish place made of cinder block, right off a busy street in a not too great part of town. It was only an 8-unit complex, it didn't have the amenities that I had gotten used to as a part of living in Phoenix, no pool, laundry area, playground or club house. There was a small courtyard between the two buildings that had a fruit tree, but mostly it was a gravel parking lot, and a little bit of grass here and there, dotted with a palm tree or two.
