   Graduation was rapidly approaching, with finals to be passed, senior photos to be taken, and all the paraphernalia for the big event to be purchased and distributed accordingly. Among those items were invitations to be sent out. I invited many of my friends from Quincy, my mother, and even my youngest sister, but I drew the line at my father. I flatly refused to have him attend.
   This caused a great deal of commotion as many individuals from my case worker to my father himself tried to convince me that this was simply unacceptable. Pressure was brought on me to rescind my refusal and accept him with open arms on the day of my graduation. No, no, absolutely not, I would not budge and dug in my heels. If he was attending my graduation, I would not be, period.
