had money taken from her by someone else either, so she let the matter lie and considered this a closed case. I followed my case worker back to her car and requested that I be moved somewhere else, but as I had expected, she informed me there were no other available slots for me. I would simply have to make the best of this situation.
   Interestingly, no other mention of the "missing money" was ever made. No one else was ever accused of taking it, nor was any other effort made to find it. It became a non-issue as soon as it was shown that the money was mine. I'm sure she thought she could bully me into giving her whatever she wanted without any fuss from me, out of fear of reprisals.
