For several months, my date flipping had worked out well with both Billy and Nev. If there were ever any issues between the two of them because of it, they never chose to share it with me. And I, being considerate, never talked about the other unless he brought the subject up first. But, on one occasion, the three of us found ourselves all going to the same party on a Sunday night.
   The two of them, independently, had decided to drop by Eula's at around the same time, both with the intention of asking if I'd like to go with him. The three of us sat on the porch while each of them presented their particular argument as to why I should pick him to go out with that night.
   "You've had more overall dates with him. It's only fair to give me this one."...
