Ginny had been my best friend since the first day of junior high. Both of our last names started with the same letter which put us next to each other in all of the classes we shared, which were many. She was a devoutly antisocial person. In every class, when not paying attention to the teacher, she had her nose in a book, refusing to pay attention to the rest of the world around her. It wasn't that she hated any one particular person; she just seemed to hate everyone equally.
