want to see him sitting in jail instead because of my father. By the end of the school year, I hardly saw him at all. Even during gym, we had begun choosing different activities, remaining separated to avoid temptation. On the last day of school, we talked, for what I thought was the last time. I wished him well, and he told me if things ever changed that I knew how to find him. But neither of us truly believed we would ever see each other again.
