   For a brief period of time, my friends and I began playing poker. It was a fun way to pass the time and we would play mostly for pennies. But we would also use, marbles, paperclips, pretty rocks, hair ties, basically anything that was in our pockets when the game started. They had no real assigned value; we'd just flip whatever into the pot, and then collect our trinkets with each round we won.
   On one particular occasion, we were all at Cindy's house. It was raining outside; her parents weren't home, so we had the house to ourselves. Sitting down around the kitchen table we pulled out the cards that at least one of us always had in a back pocket and began to play.
