I don’t have laundry facilities in my apartment and have to go out to a laundromat to wash my clothes. It can be a pain in the ass on a regular day to have to take the time, get dressed, and leave the house to do something that I should be able to do at home in my underwear – and there are a thousand more things I could be doing at home other than sitting in an uncomfortable chair and watching the clothes spin around and around.

During a pandemic, however, going to the laundromat is an outing! You have to put clothes on to leave the house and you see people you can’t recognize because of their masks – AND you get to sit in an uncomfortable chair and watch the clothes spin around and around!
